MrBeast the world’s biggest YouTuber has defended his latest viral stunt video after facing a wave of criticism online. The video titled Would You Risk Dying for $500000 shows a professional stuntman escaping from a blazing building while grabbing bags of cash.
The dramatic video quickly went viral with more than 45 million views in just days but also sparked outrage as critics argued the challenge looked dangerously irresponsible and could inspire copycat behavior. Some social media users called the video dystopian while others labeled it humiliating.
MrBeast whose real name is Jimmy Donaldson directly addressed the backlash. He insisted that safety was the top priority explaining that the stunt was carefully planned with professionals supervising every detail.“I take safety more serious than you could ever imagine”he said on X.
Donaldson clarified that the contestant Eric was a trained stuntman and the production included a ventilation system kill switches for flames and a full pyro team to control the fire.“We had multiple fire suppression methods in place and none of them were ever needed”he added.

MrBeast who has over 440 million subscribers on YouTube is no stranger to headline grabbing challenges. Alongside his viral videos he runs business ventures like fast food brands and the Amazon series Beast Games which offered a record $5 million prize.
Still controversies continue to follow him. In the past year he faced criticism from former contestants of Beast Games as well as backlash from events in Las Vegas and even accusations from Mexico over filming at the Mayan pyramids.
Despite the backlash the latest stunt video cements MrBeast’s position as one of the most influential and talked about creators on the internet today.
