Williams was scheduled to perform the last show of his Britpop world tour at Atakoy Marina in Turkey. He said on Instagram that it was his dream to end the tour in Istanbul because of his family’s Turkish roots. The singer shared his disappointment but added that the decision was beyond his control.
Reports suggest the show was cancelled due to threats linked to Williams’ past support for Israel. Despite the setback, he plans to perform a smaller gig in London this week and will soon release his upcoming album Britpop.
