Gaza’s humanitarian crisis has worsened as starvation and ongoing Israeli attacks claimed more lives within 24 hours. According to Gaza’s Health Ministry, 13 Palestinians, including three children, died from starvation and malnutrition, bringing hunger-related deaths to 361 since the war began. At least 89 others were killed in Israeli strikes since dawn, including aid seekers, raising international concerns over war crimes and the urgent need for global intervention.

Starvation Deaths Rise in Gaza

Gaza’s Health Ministry reported that 13 people, among them three children, lost their lives due to starvation in the past day. The total number of hunger-related deaths has now reached 361, with 130 of those being children.

Dozens Killed in Israeli Strikes

Medical sources confirmed that 89 Palestinians have been killed since dawn in Israeli bombardments, with 42 deaths in Gaza City alone. Among the victims were 22 aid seekers killed while waiting for relief in central and southern Gaza.

Aid Seekers Targeted

Reports from Hamad Hospital revealed that Israeli forces opened fire on aid seekers in northern Gaza, killing one person and wounding at least 66 others. Local officials say this has deepened fears of systematic targeting of civilians in desperate need of food and supplies.

International Outcry and War Crimes Warning

Ismail al-Thawabta, head of Gaza’s Government Media Office, accused Israel of using starvation as a weapon to weaken resistance and force mass displacement. He stressed that both starvation and displacement amount to war crimes and called on the international community to act, warning that statements without action “remain ink on paper.”

Humanitarian Situation Declared Catastrophic

The UN-backed food security watchdog has confirmed that famine is rapidly spreading in Gaza. With critical infrastructure destroyed, hospitals overwhelmed, and aid severely restricted, humanitarian agencies warn that the crisis could spiral even further out of control. They stress that unless the blockade is lifted and urgent assistance is allowed in without obstruction, the situation will remain catastrophic, pushing more civilians especially children toward starvation and preventable death.
